Kelly Perdew is the Co-Founder & Managing General Partner of Moonshots Capital, a micro-venture fund that invests in extraordinary leadership. Kelly began his career as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army and then received his JD MBA from UCLA. After graduating, Kelly joined his first startup, serving as VP of Business Development for ImageTel International and later worked for Deloitte Consulting. In 2005, Kelly competed in and won season 2 of The Apprentice, after which he worked as an Executive Vice President in The Trump Organization for a year, published a book, and launched a speaking tour. Kelly has been an active angel investor for the past 13 years and ultimately decided to launch his own fund, along with his partner Craig Cummings, in fall 2014. In this episode, Kelly shares a number of common startup mistakes and offers valuable advice to entrepreneurs.
