FROM THE DEA TO THE CARTEL: THE SCANDAL THAT EXPOSES THE UNITED STATES

from Totally Exposed By Navarro Podcast · host Totally Exposed By Navarro

This case breaks the “moral” discourse of the United States against drugs. While the government boasts that it fights the cartels and declares the CJNG as a terrorist organization to justify sanctions, pressure and militarization, one of its key men in the DEA, Paul Campo, ended up accused of offering to launder millions of dollars and help in cocaine operations and possible weapons for that same cartel. He was not just any agent: he was the narco’s finance expert, the one who knew routes, accounts and holes in the system... and used that power to sit on the side of the dirty money, not on the side of the victims. Here you can see Washington’s double standard. On the one hand, the United States government points to Mexico, demands more control, presumes sanctions against the CJNG and speaks of “national security” and “defense against fentanyl.” But on the other hand, it allows officials to grow within their own institutions who negotiate with those who flood both countries with drugs and violence, taking advantage of the access that the State itself gave them. That is not an isolated mistake: it is proof that the so-called “war on drugs” is rotten from within and that corruption is not only a Mexican problem, but a cancer embedded in the heart of the American security apparatus.Today the United States points the finger, but does not look in the mirror. He declares terrorists to the cartels to tighten laws and controls in the region, while keeping intact the flow of weapons that crosses its border to Mexico and the financial system that launders organized crime capitals. If the US government really wanted to stop narco-violence, it would have started years ago by thoroughly cleaning up its security elite, cutting money, closing the arms market and punishing its own banks and officials involved. The Campo case exposes another uncomfortable truth: the United States not only fights the narco, it has also benefited from the business, and when one of its own falls, it is not an isolated scandal... it is the portrait of an empire that plays on both sides.
