Jenalene Anthony runs a design studio in rural Saskatchewan, working with science-based organisations to achieve positive change. Following a painful experience at work, she discovered serious gaps in provincial occupational health and safety legislation, and worked tirelessly to fill them when the legislation came up for review. As a result, contract workers now have the same protection as employees, and sexual harassment at work is recognised as an infringement of provincial law.
