from From the Ground Up

The Institute and Faculty of Actuaries is the official body of which all professionally qualified actuaries in the UK are members. Actuaries are specialists in risk assessment, usually for insurance companies, large businesses or government departments. In a new report published by the Institute (together with Exeter University), they present an approach to risk assessment for the climate crisis, going beyond the merely financial to the major ecological and social risks facing us. They present risk assessment as a necessary addition to scientific and economic analysis, as the only way that we can recognise and guard against worst case scenarios. Hosted on Acast.
