From the Study to the Pulpit and from the Academy to the Pew with Jeffrey Weima

from Expositors Collective: Expository Preaching, Bible Teaching and Sermon Preparation · host Mike Neglia

Dr. Jeffrey Weima is Professor of New Testament at Calvin Theological Seminary, where he has taught for 30 years. He is a sought-after speaker who is able to communicate well the truths of the Bible in an interesting, contemporary and practical manner. Jeff has published six books thus far, 5 of them having to do with the letters of the apostle Paul, and the most recent is on the 7 sermons (not letters) of Jesus to the seven churches in Revelation. This is a book that I was reading for my own personal preparation for a teaching series that I was going through, and I was so enriched that I wanted to try to get him onto the show and have a conversation with him - partly for your benefit, but selfishly, mostly for mine!!!!  I wanted to get all the insights and advice that I could from the man himself! We talk about feedback, making academic study accessible to the broader church and “the chair of despair”Before we start, registration for our next in-person training event has gone live.
