In this first episode we get to know the man behind the title.Dewey grew up in Little Rock, still lives in the house his parents bought in 1947, and serves as an ordained minister. Before Toastmasters he was so shy he did not even want to talk to himself. A blind friend named Adrian Duncan simply asked him to join. Two months later Dewey was elected president of Saline County Toastmasters. The club went Distinguished that year.Joyce Moore then pushed him into the Area Director role. In his first year he chartered a new club and took every club in the area, including the brand new one, all the way to President’s Distinguished. Only five areas in the world pulled that off that year.
