From Urban Hustle to Starry Skies l Lumen Camps

from Cabin Culture · host Janice Smith

Susan and Boris, founders of Lumen Camps, share their journey from a honeymoon road trip to building a successful hospitality brand. They started with a 20-year-old Land Cruiser and a rooftop tent, traveling from Boston to Argentina, and documenting their adventures along the way. When they returned, they decided to explore the short-term rental industry and began with one property. As their rental properties grew, they were forced to focus on automation and building a remote team in order to manage them all successfully. While many of you only manage one property, thinking through efficiencies can be super helpful in not only making life easier but also improving guest experience. The Lumen brand is their next venture, centered around connecting with nature and finding happiness in simple experiences. Susan and Boris acquired a campground surrounded by water on three sides and transformed it into Lumen, a unique glamping destination with a combination of glamping tents, small cabins, and the nicest campground bathroom I've ever seen in my life. Join us to hear about how it came to be, how they've grown it, and how they've created a unique camping experience for folks escaping the craziness of city, and everyday, life.Instagram@lumencamps@cozyrockcabin@cozycabinboone@cozycampsebecBooking SitesLumen Camps: https://www.stayatlumen.com/Cozy Rock Cabin:  Tiny home in Freeport · ★5.0 · 2 bedrooms · 2 beds · 1 bathCozy Cabin Boone:  Cabin in Boone · ★4.96 · 3 bedrooms · 5 beds · 3 bathsCozy Camp Sebec:  Cottage in Dover-Foxcroft · ★4.98 · 4 bedrooms · 5 beds · 2 bathsYouTube Channel: / @cozyrockcabin1664‌Cozy Rock Website * Cozy Rock Cabin * Book a Cabin Consultation HereCozy Rock CabinChapters08:36Entering the Short-Term Rental Industry and Building a Portfolio15:47Balancing Automation and Personal Touchpoints37:54Creating Personalized Guest Experiences53:28Defining the Essence of a Cabin
