From Vice To Virtue // Introduction
from Cornerstone Church Sermons Hosted by Cornerstone Church
I bet you are like me, you sin. Also like me, I bet you don’t want to sin. Or do you? Do I? Is it possible that there is a deep part of us that does want to sin even while the more noble part of us is being truthful that we don’t? We often miss the deeper underbelly of our sins, the sin beneath the sin and those undiscovered roots are holding us in bondage even though Christ came to set us free. In this series, From Vice to Virtue, we are going to take a closer look at what many have called The 7 Deadly Sins. But we aren’t going to just look at them, we are going to dig down to their roots as we bring the light and power of the gospel with us. Then and only then can we discover how to move from pride to humility, envy to contentment, lust to love and so on. Come along on our journey as we go from Vice to Virtue, and take hold of the power of the gospel in overcoming these deadly sins.
