Diagnosed with PCOS shortly after getting married in 2013 and told that she would not be able to have children, Charity underwent multiple rounds of fertility treatments in the next five years. She also turned to weight loss surgery after hearing testimonies of women with PCOS bearing children after losing weight. Finally, in October 2019, she had her first sleeve surgery. What she thought was a picture-perfect surgery turned horribly wrong when at seven weeks post-op, she was rushed to the hospital for a delayed leak.
