Send us Fan Mail“Where are you?” hits differently when you realize God isn’t asking for information. We start in Genesis 3 with Adam and Eve learning evil by transgression and then seeing, by contrast, what they had lost. Shame follows fast, and so does hiding: among the trees, behind fig leaves, behind our own hand-made cover-ups that still leave us exposed. From there we connect the Garden of Eden to Romans and the purpose of God’s law. The law can name sin and make it known, but it can’t justify us or give us the power to earn righteousness. That’s where the gospel of Jesus Christ comes into sharp focus: Christ obeys what we cannot, bears the penalty we deserve through penal substitutionary atonement, and credits believers with His righteousness through imputation. We talk frankly about sanctification being real and progressive, while our acceptance before God is complete because we are in Christ. We also tackle assurance and eternal security head-on. If Christ truly finished the work, what would it mean to say salvation can be lost tomorrow? Where would the Holy Spirit go? Why would grace be smaller than sin? Finally, we return to Genesis 3: God’s voice walking in the cool of the day, the gardener coming near, not with a sword but with cords of love. Subscribe for more Bible-centered conversations, share this with a friend who needs hope, and leave a review so more people can find the show.
