In them, he speaks with compassion and urgency about the need for Islam to adapt to the modern world while holding firmly to its core values of love, faith, and devotion to the One God. He emphasizes unity among Muslims, peaceful coexistence with other religions, equality between men and women, and the rejection of hatred and violence.
