FTN - UPCYCLING IS EATING GARBAGE
from Food And Travel Nation with Elizabeth Dougherty · host Michael Serio
Food and Travel Nation with Elizabeth Dougherty The TRUTH about Food and Travel Broadcast Date: 4/24/23 It's becoming a religion in America, this almost trans-like fixation on Mother Earth, even to the detriment of humans. We're seeing a new term: Upcycling Basically, it's the "reuse" and re-insertion of what would otherwise be food waste, back into the production of different food products. On the residential side, the entire process of garbage collection is changing as well, and officials are very interested in what you throw away. In fact, several communities are now using high-tech garbage trucks which scans a RFID tag embedded in the large municipal/residential trash bins. What you may not know is that there are very specific rules concerning those trash bins, and they are assigned to be used only by your family/address. While this sounds far-fetched, waste management officials now have the ability to monitor the food waste coming from your home. At what point do we look around and say, enough is enough. website: FoodAndTravelNation.com email: [email protected]
