“Fuego” Singer/Songwriter: Unique
from Black Canvas Hosted by Jeriel Harvey
Born and raised in Houston, TX, Unique was exposed to a melting pot of culture and music. The arts are a huge part of the culture in Houston and it was inevitable for her to embrace her inner artist. The diversity of her upbringing is heavily influenced in her music. Being of Latino decent, she was greatly influenced by the likes of Selena, Linda Ronstadt, Michael Salgado, and Little Joe Y La Familia, amongst others. Falling in love with the country-like sound of Tejano music, she began listening to American Country artist like Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Patsy Cline, LeAnn Rimes, and more. All of these legends of Country and Latin music can be felt and heard in her original music; Latino Country, if you will. With a voice that cuts like a razor she brings a little spice to country music like a jalapeño does for a margarita! Her newest single, "FUEGO" is available now so you can take a listen. This song is a three-and-a-half-minute rollercoaster ride, enticing you from the beginning, getting your feet stomping by the chorus and leaving your hands clapping in the end. So be prepared for a standing-O and go take a listen! WWW.UNIQUETHESINGER.COM visit her site for the latest news, bonus content, and to shop for merch!
