from WARRIOR ON FIRE

IN TODAY'S FUEL.... POINT #1: Hurrying Up to Wait During today's surf session with my coach, we had some incredible waves that I couldn't catch fast enough for over 30 minutes. And then, for the remainder of the 90 minute session, I caught only one because I had exhausted myself at the beginning. POINT #2: Fizzling Out from the Long Haul Most people do life super fast, going all in at the beginning, and then they quit and fizzle out. Podcasts are a perfect example of this, as their are thousands of podcasts with 10-100 episodes, but they don't last, despite having the intention that they started them for the long haul. POINT #3: Stop Stopping The real game isn't about how fast or strong we finish, but that we're unwilling to fucking stop in the first place. Rather than comparing ourselves to others, we need to look and ask ourselves, "What can I maintain?" on a daily basis, which may mean to do less at the beginning, starting slower so we stop stopping. QUESTION OF THE DAY: Where in your Core 4 (body, being, balance and business) do you know you need to slow down so you don't stop? CHALLENGE OF THE DAY: Write in your War Map (journal) ONE THING that you must let go or at least slow down on so that you can stop stopping. QUOTE OF THE DAY: "When you want to bring about change, you've got to understand the game of finishing strong, but I'm going to twist it on you with the following reality: finishing strong is not what we actually think. You can start fast, but if you finish slow, you're going to be in trouble, but the real game isn't about how fast or strong you finish, but that you're unwilling to fucking stop. Start slower so you can stop stopping." -- Garrett J White
