Fugitive SNAP Fraudster Caught in India | US News

A fugitive on the FBI’s Most Wanted Fraudsters list, Manjit Singh Bedi, has been arrested in India after evading capture for nearly a year. Accused of stealing over $600,000 from the SNAP program while running a Tacoma grocery store, Bedi allegedly cooked the books between 2024 and 2025 before fleeing to India. His arrest marks the fifth catch from the Justice Department’s new list — suspects accused of a combined $2 billion in fraud — proving the department’s global reach and relentless pursuit of big-time fraudsters.
