Auf dem Gelände des Kernkraftwerks Fukushima stehen mehr als 1000 Tanks, in denen seit der Katastrophe von 2011 radioaktiv belastetes Wasser gesammelt wird. Noch in diesem Jahr will man damit beginnen, es nach und nach ins Meer zu leiten. Das Projekt ist allerdings umstritten.
