Hey Tanner Fans, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh My Lanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. It's someone's birthday today, can you guess? No, not mine. It's Andrea Barber's, who portrayed Kimmy Gibbler on Full House and now portrays her on Fuller House. I decided in honor of her birthday I would cover S6E14: Birthday Blues, which aired on January 19, 1993. In this episode D.J. is planning she and Steve's 6 month anniversary and is horrified to learn she's forgotten Kimmy's 16th birthday is on the same day. Frantically, she scrambles to get the family together to throw a last-minute party for Kimmy. f I’m going to give away a jerk of the episode award (which I don’t think I’ve ever done on the podcast). I gotta give it to DJ, for how she acted when Kimmy ran out saying to her “I don’t get why you’re so jealous of Steve” And then she turns on Danny after she’s surprised Kimmy walked out. She says “There’s no law that says you have to throw your friend a birthday party” Danny points out to DJ that “You’ve been dating Steve for 6 months but you’ve been friends with Kimmy for 6 years” I know I was one that alienated my friends when I got a boyfriend and yes they did call me out on it.
