Full House: S8E10: Under The Influence (The SERIOUS Episodes Podcast)

Happy Full House Friday Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, I covered the final episode in the SERIOUS Episodes for the month of April, Full House S8E10: Under The Influence, which aired on December 6, 1994. In this episode D.J.'s friendship with Kimmy is put to a severe test after D.J. forcibly removes a very drunk Kimmy from a college fraternity party. I remember when I originally saw the preview for this episode, my feelings of apprehension for DJ and Kimmy's friendship, I mean they had mini friendship breaks in Season 2 and 4 but never like this. This episode also answered an age old question us viewers had been wondering since Season 2's Goodbye Mr. Bear, how did Pam Tanner pass away? We knew it was a car accident but to what extent? ANSWER: if you've seen the episode, you already know, but for those that haven't I don't want to spoil it. The side plot of Joey's creative cooking combos (think of Season 5 and Michelle's weird combinations of food to earn her Honey Bee Cooking Badge.) Let me just say it's worse then tuna and oreo icecream or chocolate pudding and olives or Velveeta cheese. I mean TBH Meat Muffins (I don't hate it). Flounder Tart (Fish in a Pop Tart Pastry) PUKE!! Jesse and Joey's way of teaching the meaning of forgiveness to Nicky and Alex only makes the boys more confused. So much fish patter gets flung around (poured down the shirt and gooped on the face). Luckily as per Becky's advice to let the kids work the problem out themselves Michelle's take control and is the bigger person by admitting she lost her cool and handled the situation wrong and begs the boys to give her another chance. They accept. FAVORITE QUOTE OF THE EPISODE: "Kimmy, they called you a lot of things at that party, but cool wasn't one of them".
