from In The Loop
In The Loop opens the show reacting to the Bills’ 41-31 win over the Lions and asks whether Buffalo’s latest offensive explosion should make Texans fans feel better or worse about Houston’s Week 1 loss. The guys then turn their attention to C.J. Stroud and what they expect from him against Cincinnati after a week full of conversation about his play and body language, including whether all the chatter could light a little extra fire under him. The hour wraps with the Question of the Day: What’s the most volatile environment you’ve ever been in? ITL then goes Around The NFL before breaking news hits from Texans practice, with Nico Collins, Jadeveon Clowney and Ed Ingram all absent, raising even more questions about Houston’s health heading into Sunday. The hour closes with What’s Popping in sports and entertainment. Later, the guys react to Nick Caley’s latest comments, including the things he said that should make Texans fans feel good and the things that might create some concern, followed by Lunch-Time Confessions and the College Football Headline of the Weekend presented by Wrangler. The show wraps with Texans Win Because, Texans Lose Because: Bengals Edition, as ITL lays out what has to go right for Houston to get its first win and what could lead to an 0-2 start. Then Figgy’s Mixtape takes over with an Amazon driver nearly getting hit by an arrow, Dolly Parton accepting a lifetime achievement award through a prerecorded video after her death, and Figgy’s Voicemail giving listeners the final word heading into the weekend.
