Full Show | Future Makes History with Latest Chart-Topping Album; Cardi B Rumored to Have a New Boo; Roland Martin Talks Argentina and Racism; Five Dead in Ohio After Rescue Attempt Gone Bad; and More

The Rickey Smiley Morning Show delivered a mix of entertainment, culture, and hard-hitting conversations, starting with Future’s latest career milestone. Future’s new album The Real Me debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, earning him his 12th chart-topping album and placing him among the most successful artists in music history, trailing only legends like The Beatles, Taylor Swift, Drake, and JAY-Z. Meanwhile, celebrity buzz centered on Cardi B after reports surfaced of controversy surrounding the man she has recently been linked to, Nigerian soccer player Maduka Okoye, as conversations continued about her highly publicized love life following her split from Stefon Diggs earlier this year.  The show also tackled serious issues as Roland Martin joined the discussion on racism in Argentina, explaining the country’s long history of minimizing and erasing its Afro-Argentine population and how those historical attitudes still influence modern society. Ricky Smiley shared an emotional story about witnessing his son experience discrimination, leading to a broader conversation about racism around the world and at home. The news segment covered a heartbreaking tragedy in Ohio, where five people lost their lives after several adults entered the Scioto River trying to save a struggling swimmer, underscoring the dangers of strong river currents and the importance of water safety. The crew also discussed Angel Reese’s response to controversy involving a WNBA coach’s comments, emphasizing respect and accountability in sports while keeping listeners informed on the biggest stories making headlines.  Website: https://www.urban1podcasts.com/rickey-smiley-morning-show See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
