Full Show | Jaafar Jackson Wants More Money to Reprise Role in ‘Michael’; EJ Johnson Could be Joining Housewives of Beverly Hills; Comedian and Actor Bill Bellamy Joins RSMS Crew; Doctors Pushing Back on New US Children Vaccine Schedule; and More

The Rickey Smiley Morning Show covered a mix of entertainment, culture, and headline-making news, starting with reports that Jaafar Jackson is allegedly seeking a larger payday to return as Michael Jackson in a planned sequel to the blockbuster film Michael. Entertainment reports say the movie has surpassed $1 billion globally, becoming one of the most successful music biopics ever and fueling discussions about Jackson's compensation moving forward. The crew also discussed rumors that EJ Johnson, son of NBA legend Magic Johnson, could be headed to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as a friend of the cast or potentially in a history-making role within the franchise. Meanwhile, comedy legend Bill Bellamy joined the show to reflect on his decades-long career, memorable interviews with icons like Michael Jackson and Tupac, and his upcoming recognition with the 2026 Icon Award at Chicago’s What's Funny Comedy Festival.   The show also tackled a growing national debate over childhood vaccinations after doctors and medical organizations pushed back against a new federal proposal that would split the MMR vaccine into separate shots and alter the recommended vaccine schedule. Health experts cited in recent reports argue that decades of research continue to support the safety and effectiveness of the current vaccination schedule, while warning that changes could create confusion for families and leave more children vulnerable during a rise in measles cases. Elsewhere, the cast weighed in on the latest developments in the Tupac Shakur murder case as jury selection began for Duane “Keefe D” Davis, shared reactions to a heartwarming viral story involving Michael B. Jordan surprising an 89-year-old fan who proudly displayed his photo alongside her grandchildren, and delivered their signature mix of laughs, celebrity tea, and lively conversation.   Website: https://www.urban1podcasts.com/rickey-smiley-morning-show See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
