The show leads with the shocking news that rapper Mystikal has pleaded guilty to a third-degree rape charge stemming from a 2022 case and now faces up to 20 years in prison, with sentencing scheduled for June—marking another serious chapter in the rapper’s long legal history. The conversation then shifts to Hollywood, where Michael B. Jordan is riding high after making history as the first actor to win an Oscar for playing twins in the film Sinners. Adding to the buzz, Jordan has sparked dating rumors after being spotted with rising Bridgerton star Yerin Ha, fueling chatter about his next chapter both on and off the screen.   The show also delivers a dose of nostalgia and “what could’ve been” energy as Bill Bellamy opens up about nearly dating Janet Jackson in the ’90s, admitting he “fumbled” the moment because he didn’t want to risk their friendship—a confession that quickly went viral and had fans revisiting one of pop culture’s biggest almost-romances. Wrapping things up on a high note, the WNBA and its players’ union reached a landmark new collective bargaining agreement, avoiding a potential lockout and dramatically increasing player pay. The deal includes a massive salary cap jump, revenue sharing near 20 percent, and the possibility of million-dollar contracts—signaling a transformative moment for women’s basketball as the league prepares for its upcoming season.  Website: https://www.urban1podcasts.com/rickey-smiley-morning-show See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
