Full Show | Trump declares cease fire with Iran will be extended; Claressa Shields claps back at those criticizing her looks; Influencers wants Stefon Diggs financial records in defamation suit; Happy Birthday Ms. Cathy Hughes & Rickey Smiley nominated for Radio HOF; and More

Today’s Rickey Smiley Morning Show delivers a powerful mix of global headlines, celebrity claps back, and major milestone moments, starting with breaking international news as Donald Trump announces that the U.S. ceasefire with Iran will be extended indefinitely while negotiations continue. According to multiple reports, the ceasefire remains in place as Iran works to present a unified proposal, even as U.S. military pressure and blockades continue in the region, keeping tensions high and talks uncertain. The show also dives into a heated social media moment as boxing champion Claressa Shields fires back at critics attacking her appearance, firmly reminding the internet that her Olympic gold medals, undisputed titles, and confidence speak louder than online trolls.   The conversation continues with legal drama surrounding NFL star Stefon Diggs, as his defamation case takes a new turn with the accuser requesting access to Diggs’ financial records, arguing that claims of reputational and financial harm must be backed up in court. Rounding out the episode on a celebratory note, the show honors a media legend and one of its own—wishing a happy birthday to Cathy Hughes, founder of Urban One, while celebrating Rickey Smiley being officially nominated for the Radio Hall of Fame Class of 2026, a major recognition of his lasting impact on radio and Black culture.  Website: https://www.urban1podcasts.com/rickey-smiley-morning-show See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
