FULL SHOW: Who's making deals? Howard Stern's future.

from The Mark Simone Show · host iHeartRadio and Mark Simone

President Trump is carrying out more strikes on Iranian targets, hoping this will push Iran toward a peace deal. Some Gulf countries are allegedly making quiet agreements with the US to avoid transit fees for ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Mark goes over today’s confirmation hearings, which will include discussions of Jeffrey Epstein associations.  Mark interviews Steve Forbes, Chairman of Forbes Media. Steve joins Mark to talk about the latest inflation numbers. Forbes is worried that the situation in Iran could mean higher gas prices. He also explains how higher corporate taxes can lead to higher consumer prices and shares his thoughts on new data centers being built in the US. Howard Stern may be winding down his radio career, possibly broadcasting just once a week. Over the years, Howard has had varied opinions about Trump. Mark also dives into Jimmy Kimmel’s summer break and some of the things Kimmel’s guest hosts have said. In New York, E. Jean Carroll won more than $80 million in her lawsuit against Trump, and there’s talk about the influence of the local jury and judges on the outcome. Mark interviews author Ann Coulter. Mark and Ann discuss Mayor Mamdani’s “Shantytown” plan and its impact on immigration. They also talk about Border Czar Tom Homan, who is under scrutiny following recent ICE-related shootings in Minnesota and Texas, and consider possible next steps. Ann and Mark also cover the ongoing conflict in Iran and observe that the war between Russia and Ukraine appears to be moving in Ukraine’s favor.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
