Full Show | You Are Responsible for You; E&G True Hollywood Bible Story: Jospeh and the Prisoners; David Daughtry Joins Get Up with New Music; and More

On this uplifting edition of Get Up! Mornings with Erica Campbell, Erica delivered a powerful Faith Walk reminding listeners that no matter what others say or do, each person is ultimately responsible for their own words, actions, and heart before God. Drawing from 2 Timothy 2, she encouraged the Get Up Church to stay focused on purpose instead of distractions, while the crew also sparked a lively conversation about whether cell phones belong in schools. The discussion reflected a growing national debate, as more states and school districts have recently adopted stricter phone restrictions in an effort to reduce distractions and improve learning, while many parents continue to argue that phones are important for communication and safety during emergencies.   The morning also featured the hilarious E&G True Hollywood Bible Story retelling of Joseph and the prisoners from Genesis 40, highlighting how Joseph faithfully interpreted the dreams of Pharaoh’s cupbearer and baker while confined in prison. The biblical account ultimately led to the cupbearer’s restoration and set the stage for Joseph’s rise to prominence in Egypt, demonstrating God’s faithfulness even in difficult seasons. Adding to the inspiration, gospel artist David Daughtry joined the show to introduce his new single, “The Good Shepherd,” and discuss his newly released album Don’t Let Go. Daughtry shared that the music was created to encourage believers through uncertain times, centered on the message of trusting God’s guidance and holding on to faith no matter the circumstances.  Website: https://www.urban1podcasts.com/get-up-mornings-erica-campbell See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
