Episode 22 of Gaming Couch. All of Season 1 we talked about why games are fun to play. At the core of it, a game is fun if we can stay engaged with it. In Dungeons and Dragons, it comes down to the DM to make it an egaging experience. Combat is one of the hardest things to make engaging for players. What comes down to a number of dice rolls can be shaped into a very fun and narrative driven experience for all players, that includes the DM.
