● Honor is MANIFESTED respect!● You can respect someone without showing honor.● Honor is public. Active.● We don’t honor others because they deserve it. We honor because we are honorable!● “Cancel culture” and anti-authoritarian attitudes is rooted in dishonor.● Honor celebrates who a person is without stumbling over who they are not.● You can still honor someone without always agreeing with someone.● Honor is the key ingredient to receiving from the Lord.● Dishonor affects the way we receive.● Faith and honor work together.● You cannot build a lifestyle of dishonor towards God’s people and authentically honor God.● You cannot build a lifestyle of dishonor towards God’s word and authentically honor God.Questions to Ponder:● Are they any specific areas of your life that God is highlighting where you manifest respect well? ● Is that congruent with other areas of your life? ● Am I willing to submit to authority that I don’t always agree with?
