Let Go and Let God!● Safety● Status● Reputation● RespectSecurity is the enemy of risky. It's an illusion. Example: Money is fleeting, God's word isn't.....When all else fails, His word does not. It's the only security you have. Americans in WW 2 didn't move to global risk until Pearl Harbor. The way of life was threatened by economic uncertainty and genocide.A life of risk is to follow Jesus into the unknown AND LOOK BEYOND OUR PAST!!!!! GET PAST YOUR PAST: 1. I failed at a business deal and afraid to try again.2. I prayed for someone one time, they didn't get healed so I gave up.3. I was married once before- I'm afraid to love again.4. My pastor was abusive- I'm afraid to join a church.5. My congregation was abusive - I'm afraid to pastor a church.6. I failed at a hobby or sport, so I won’t play anything. FEAR Paralyzes!BUT THERE IS AN ANTIDOTE.... He's in us· He's for us· He's crazy about us and loves us· As Jesus is, so are we in this world.· We have confidence that what HE DID, we can do· His love for us PROPELS US to stand in the face of fear· Backed by His love, we can RISK to fulfill His purpose because He first loved us· He's calling us out to abandon THE LIFE OF SAFETY, and RISK IT ALL ON HIM!!!EXAMPLE: GOLFDON'T FOCUS ON THE HAZARD....FOCUS ON THE GREEN AND THE PAYOFF...QUESTION TO PONDER: Where is the paralysis by analysis in your life and where is God challenging you to bust free?
