Funds available for water projects along border
from Border Report Live · host borderreportlive
The North American Development Bank is accepting applications for millions of dollars in grants and low-interest loans for water resiliency projects on the southern border. The Water Resiliency Fund was approved earlier this year, but in a summit held this month in McAllen, bank leaders announced a call for proposed projects. In the latest episode of Border Report Live, NADBank Managing Director John Beckham tells South Texas correspondent Sandra Sanchez how much funds are available and what projects they’re looking for to stretch limited water resources on the U.S.-Mexican border. Also, California correspondent Salvador Rivera reports on U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers arresting people inside U.S. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services offices in downtown San Diego. He spoke with the husband of a woman who was arrested Monday when she went for a meeting with federal immigration officials, and she now faces deportation.
