Funkier Radio Episode 1 (Even Funkier Guest Mix)

from Funkier Radio

I'm excited to introduce my brand new radio show/ podcast, Funkier Radio. Every two weeks I'll be bringing you a selection of music that I love, all from the funkier end of the spectrum. Expect Funk, Disco, Soul, House, Hip Hop, Jazz and lots else in between. I'm your selector and host as we journey through the funkiest music this planet has to offer. Hour one will be tracks chosen by me, then we'll hand over to a guest mix for hour two, showcasing talent with a similar focus on the funk. We've got a real musical mix in this first show, with Sister Sledge, Doobie Brothers, Pleasure, Tru Tones, Joey Negro, Aretha Franklin, Disclosure, James Brown, Funkadelic and more in the first hour. As it's the first episode, hour 2 features a guest mix from my good self, Even Funkier. I'm still getting used to this, so please forgive the small mistakes and general nervousness - I think I settled into it after a while. I hope you enjoy, and please let me know what you think and spread the word to all lovers of funky music - I'd really appreciate a repost if you dig what you hear. Episode 2 will follow in a couple of weeks! HOUR 1 TRACKLIST Sister Sledge - Lost In Music (Dimitri From Paris Remix) Tru Tones - Dancing (Roger Thornhill Edit) Get Down Edits - Strategy Anthony Hamilton - Cornbread, Fish & Collard Greens Disclosure - Funky Sensation Pleasure - Glide James Brown - Soul Power Parts 1, 2 & 3 Marva Whitney - Unwind Yourself Serge Gamesbourg - Gonna Get Your Love Addison Groove - Changa Joey Negro - Must Be The Music Funkadelic - One Nation Under a Groove Part 2 Aretha Franklin - What A Fool Believes The Doobie Brothers - Listen To The Music
