Funkier Radio Episode 106 - Jamie Joy [The Soulstice Collective] Guest Mix

from Funkier Radio

I covered lots of ground in hour one, with some slow smooth balearic grooves, classic soulful cuts, boogie funk, some weirdness, some global beats and two brand new bubblers from myself. Hour 2 was a real treat, with a wonderful guest mix from Jamie Oyebode, co-founder of The Soulstice Collective, who spins under the alias Jamie Joy. The Soulstice Collective is an amazing movement that uses music and the arts as a force for good via a festival, events series and online creative platform. Bloody love what these guys are doing, and I bloody love this mix too - a nice varied selection of global and afro-tinged sounds building to something housier and a bit more jacking, but always with soul and positive feeling. Huge thanks to Jamie for the mix, and do make sure you check out the awesome stuff that The Soulstice Collective are up to, including a day party at The Colour Factory in Hackney on 20th May where you’ll find me on the dance floor, plus a festival in September. https://www.thesoulsticecollective.org/ https://www.instagram.com/the_soulstice_collective/ HOUR 1 TRACKLIST 1 Processman & Cady - Adupe 2 Tech Support - The Quiet Room 3 Even Funkier - Feel So Good Inside (Demo) 4 The O'Jays - Give The People What They Want 5 Sauco - Sunkissed 6 DiCE_NZ - Taxi 7 Silk Sonic - Smokin Out The Window (Tommy Glasses Funky Remix) 8 Lucy Pearl - Don't Mess With My Man 9 Even Funkier - Take Control (Demo) 10 The Doobie Bothers - Listen To The Music 11 SubeloJavi ft Elive - Nocturno 12 Retiree - Altruisme (Harvey Sutherland Remix) 13 Saraba - Barlia (Kulandjagnho) 14 The O'Jays - Put Our Heads Together 15 TF Cyberfunk - Le French Templeflitzer [Short Instrumental Mix] 16 Paul Parsons - Where Is The Love 17 DJ Dashcam - Shaken 18 Honey Dijon, Annette Bowen, Nikki-O - Downtown (Louie Vega Extended Raw Dub Mix) 19 Sebb Junior - The Tribute
