Funkier Radio Episode 50 (Shaka Loves You Guest Mix)

This episode’s a bit of a special one. It’s Episode 50 - the half century, so I’ve got an extra special guest mix, and for the very first time the show went out live on the actual (internet) radio! Sticking to the trusted format it was me for the first hour, but I pulled out some extra special funky goodness with loads of stuff that’s really rocked my world over the years, and some current favourites. It’s an eclectic affair as usual, taking in house, disco, mad squidgy funk business, some naughty edits, Aretha Franklin, Fat Larry’s Band, Sly & The Family Stone… and one from me. This is the recording straight from my DJ software, so doesn't have too much of me interrupting things to introduce the tracks and generally talk sh*t :) In the second hour it’s a great honour to hand over to one of my favourite acts - Shaka Loves You. These two Scottish lads rip it up in considerable style, taking us on a journey through hip hop, disco, boogie, global sounds and a whole lot else. I’ve been a big fan of SLY for a while now, and to have them on for a guest mix is huge for me.
