Episode 142 of Funkier Sounds is dedicated to the memory of Danielle Moore from Crazy P. I played a good few tracks featuring her divine vocals in the first hour, and did my best to put together a set of the sort of deep, sleazy, low-slung disco that Crazy P do so well. For hour 2 it felt like the only right thing to do was to replay the guest mix she did for me earlier this year. I was so thrilled when she finally sent me this mix, and super proud to put it out on my little show. Loads of the songs in it have since made it into my collection - a marker of her impeccable taste, and it’s quite emotional to hear those voice drops she so kindly put in again. Like so many others I’ll really miss her - she’s gone way too soon.
