Furness Show 4-28: Dwight Jaynes, Joe Sheehan, John Lund

from The Ian Furness Show

Ian is surprised by the lack of enthusiasm for the potential NBA return to Seattle and while we see what we do from listeners, he thinks it's still going to be huge when it comes back. Portland ownership is following the Clay Bennett playbook, but Ian doesn't see them moving.  Dwight Jaynes, The Godfather of Portland joins Ian to talk about the state of the Blazers under new ownership. They recap the "Jail Blazers" documentary and the way it portrayed that era in Portland. Dwight tells us what the reaction to Tom Dundon's lead as the new owner of the Blazers. What are the chances Dundon moves the team? Dwight gets our attention with his answer.  Ian is on the rollercoaster of NBA emotions.  Ian has another sports confession. He is done with Scott Van Pelt, not because he doesn't like him - but ESPN is shoving him down our throats. He's so talented and Ian respects him, but it's too much.  Joe Sheehan, The Joe Sheehan Newsletter joins Ian to review the recent managerial changes we've seen in MLB. What is a 'poor tactician' when it comes to managers? Joe takes a look at what's going on with Luis Castillo. Should he take a 10-day rest? Cal Raleigh is heating up and we're starting to see the power come back - are we starting to see "Cal be Cal" again? We're not gonna see the 2025 version again, but that's just too much to expect.  The Daily Power Play! Ian takes a look at the NHL playoff matchups we're witnessing right now. Plus, there's some Kraken news.  John Lund, Unleashed! And Westwood One is on time again! What a heater, though he does enjoy stressing us out. He breaks down what he saw in the NFL draft from both the Seahawks and the 49ers.  Checking in on the Talkbacks and Text Line!  Crosstalk with Softy!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
