Fury 325 roller coaster reopens after lengthy shutdown: Friday, Aug. 11

After being shut down for a month, Carowinds' Fury 325 roller coaster officially reopened Thursday. It's been a lengthy repair procedure for the ride, which was closed all of last month after a guest recorded a video showing a huge crack on one of the coaster's support beams. Now, Carowinds has confirmed repairs, testing and final inspection by the North Carolina Department of Labor's Elevator and Amusement Device Bureau have been completed.
