La fusión nuclear siempre se nos presenta como la energía del futuro. La humanidad logrará la tecnología capaz de manipular la fuente de energía que usan las estrellas y se resolverán nuestros problemas energéticos. Sin embargo, la ciencia del asunto no es tan sencilla. En este episodio tendremos a uno de los expertos que trabajan en ITER (la organización internacional que está en camino de desarrollar la fusión en reactores Tokamak) para que nos hable de núcleos que se vuelven más ligeros al juntarse, de plasmas que se están creando en la Tierra a temperaturas mucho más altas que la del núcleo del sol, de la tecnología que es capaz de controlar estos plasmas y extraer energía de ellos, con muchos de sus detalles.
