Hundreds are expected to gather in Oakland later tonight for First Fridays, but the future of the popular food and music festival remains uncertain amid a rise in post-party violence and a decline in sponsors. The Trump Administration’s quest to revitalize the coal industry may be coming to the Bay Area.
