Future Wife

Lyrics: [Verse 1] I followed you on the internet then something flipped a switch in my head now I follow you for real instead mad... When people ask about it I lie they would never appreciate why to see you walk I drive and I fly my [Chorus] Future wife (She doesn't know that you exist) Devote my life (But she never even asked for this) [Verse 2] Started travelling wherever you go from show to show Left the lady who lived with me getting ready to live this dream A price to pay, with the loss of a job between expensive tickets and the travelling costs - I've given it all for you my future wife and I'm standing in the debris of a ruined life. [Chorus] Future wife (She doesn't know that you exist) Devote my life (But she never even asked for this) For you I (She doesn't even know your name) Ruined my life (And you got only yourself to blame) [Bridge] Then, one day I bring up the courage to drop the act and climb up ahead to you Frozen, your eyes are locked to mine Piercingly, glowing and radiant in the spot light I can feel the heat between you and me Then I'm dragged down by security [Outro] won't give in without a fight to step into your world again the catwalk, stage and lights entwined with love and pain --- Future Wife is a song about a man who becomes obsessed with the idea of marrying a popular fashion model, to the point where he ruins his own life in pursuit of this futile goal. Musically, it draws inspiration from great Synthpop acts of the 80s and 90s such as Depeche Mode or Tears For Fears. This song was written and performed with some help from members on my discord server, Bobble and Jirushi, during various live streams. Thank you both for giving me ideas, helping with the lyrics and even providing some backing vocals for the chorus! You guys are truly awesome and made the process a whole lot more fun! :) For the instrumental version, take a look at my bandcamp: https://yaenmusic.bandcamp.com/track/future-wife-instrumental
