Today I have a brilliant chat with Kyle Dobbs @compoundperformance_ and Matt Domney @mattdomney from Compound Performance www.compoundperformance.com We discuss the best way to approach our return to full training after months without a gym (for most of us!) We then continue on to discuss training in general, how to work hard enough on 'work' days and how to not overdo it on 'easier' days. I really hope you will find it useful as we (hopefully) approach the reopening of gyms. I also mention my 8 Step course in the introduction and if you are interested in losing weight and keeping it off then please do check it out here; https://www.nextstep-nutrition.com/services/online-courses/

Beyond The Mirror Podcast Lisa Falconer Welcome to this podcast, where we talk about all the things…. Body Image, body confidence and motherhood Smoke & Mirror: How Barbecue Reflects America Christopher Tidmore Beyond the personalities, the contests, and the endless regional debates, there’s a fascinating, complex story that isn't being told. Barbecue’s historic and continuing role in American culture is profound. Barbecue has always brought people together, but everywhere we look there are controversies big and small. What is and isn’t barbecue? What are its origins? And there are plenty of conflicts about race, cultural disagreements over meat, food production and where our barbecue comes from. Smoke and Mirror: How Barbecue Reflects America explores the origins of barbecue, our food culture, and the conflicted modern society we’ve become. Beyond Streets Beyond Streets Podcast Rethinking How We Move, Build, and LiveBeyond Streets explores the everyday impact of transportation on our lives, neighborhoods, and futures. More than roads and rails, transportation is a mirror of our values — safety, connection, opportunity, and access. In each episode, we go beyond the headlines and into communities, talking with organizers, policymakers, builders, and residents who are reimagining what it means to move through the world. From housing to health, climate to equity, we uncover how smarter, people-first transportation can unlock better futures — and what’s standing in the way. If you're ready to ask bold questions, challenge ineffective systems, and explore what's truly possible, you're in the right place.
