G20: CLIMATE & ENERGY - Africa in Business: Thami Ngubeni & Ashraf Garda

    Thami Ngubeni: The Africa CSO G20 Climate, Energy & Sustainable Finance Network (ACG20) states that the second Global Tipping Points Report has declared the world has already breached the first major climate tipping point, marked by the widespread mortality of warm-water coral reefs. It highlights the need for transformative climate justice and financial delivery from the world's wealthiest nations, particularly the G20.   Ashraf Garda: ACG20 has called for immediate action and the acceleration of a people-centred Just Energy Transition (JET), and also urged G20 member countries to ensure these transitions are equitable and are not exploitative.
