President of the United States of America, Donald Trump together with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping have agreed to resume trade talks in agreement made at the G20 summit in Japan over the weekend. The G20 summit brings together industrialised and developing economies to discuss key issues in the global economy. The agreement between China and America comes after a long row that has contributed to a global economic slowdown. Trump had threatened additional sanctions on China, however, backtracked on the sidelines of the summit announcing that America would not impose any new tariffs on Chinese exports. Other issues of climate change also stood out as an area of contention among the world leaders attending.
