Gab & Jam Ep 166 Viewer Question- When Should I Take Down A Song That I Realize Needs Work? Podcast

from Gab and Jam · host Prejippie Music Group, Inc.

Ep 166 Viewer Question: When should I take down a song that I realize needs work? Video Description This was our response to a songwriter in a Facebook group that asked if they should take a song down from SoundCloud. She said that it was her only finished work publicly available, but that she realized that it does not represent her well. She did not want this to be the ONLY creative product that prospective clients associate with her. So that’s why she wanted to take it down. I have an IMMEDIATE reaction to this question, but since I know that this is something that we think ALL creatives can relate to, I thought we would bring it to you all. There are AT LEAST 2 trains of thought on this 1. “Done” is the new perfect. 2. Or tweak it Two MOST important things to remember: 1. The bottom line is are you proud of the product (as a representation of your best work of that particular time frame). 2. You ALWAYS want work out there, though. What do you think? What advice would you have given this songwriter? Take it down or leave it be? Tell us all about it in the comments below. #bestwork #represent #songwriting #diyrockstar #viewer question #musicmakingmagic #prejippie #bloomingprejippie #gabandjam #producer We have decided, upon popular demand, to offer you, our listeners, a chance to get a fully loaded two-disc vinyl version of our new funk album, “Sugar Fit.” Click the link below to make your presence felt.
