Gab & Jam Episode 96 Tips for Traveling for the D.I.Y. Rock Star Video Description This episode is a part of our Blog-vember 2019 trifecta of three posts a day—a video, a podcast, and a blog post. This year the focus is tips for the D.I.Y. Rock Star. We developed these methods through our own decades worth of experiences. The BIG Take-aways: We have recently begun more international travel and these are some things that we have figured out that work. Try to be as well-rested as you can as you are passing through customs, both going into and coming out of countries. You need to be alert. You make sure your bags are customs-friendly, wear shoes that are easy to take off, and that you have your correct documents when you are asked for them. One of our newest tricks is to check as many bags as possible, so that there is less stuff to have to take through the security gate. You need to keep your composure as much as possible, so that when TSA agents—with sometimes thick accents—ask you key questions, you can answer with confidence and not get upset at what may seem like silly questions—when you’re standing there with your belt, your jacket, your shoes, your laptop, and all your luggage to get back situated. So, checking any bags that are extra heavy, awkward, or would mean just one more “something” to deal with may be your best bet. (For more tips, listen to the episode or consult the blog post at http://www.bloomingprejippie.com ) Remember, to make time for what you have determined is important in your life. What do you think?
