Gail Becker, Founder of Caulipower

Even for a major consumer brand, launching a new product in the food industry is a challenge. So how did Gail Becker get  Caulipower frozen pizzas in grocery stores like Whole Foods and Bristol Farms in little over a year? Gail shares with Linda the incredible story of how she created Caulipower line, now available in more than 10,000 grocery stores.    Like so many SheSez guests, it was a circuitous route. For years, as a president at the PR powerhouse agency Edelman, the executive used her savvy marketing skills to help people and companies promote their brands. After years of climbing the corporate ladder, Gail was at the top. Then her father died, and something changed. Suddenly Gail longed to do something more meaningful. Gail shares with Linda the story of how her search for a tasty, healthy, gluten-free frozen pizza for her two sons, both of whom have Celiac disease led her to begin experimenting with a cauliflower-based pizza crust (the veggie is considered a superfood which ultimately sparked the idea for her company—and a new zest for life.)
