Galactic Magnatisem. New twist to galactic magnetic fields with Dra. Fatemeh Tabatabaei. IAC. 187.LFDLC

Dr. Fatemeh Tabatabaei is a scientist at the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias. She is expert in extra-galactic radio and infrared astronomy. Her research interests are star formation, intestellar meduim, and formation and evolution of galaxies. She obtained her PhD from the University of Bonn in Germany (2008) with a dissertation entitled 'Thermal and Nonthermal Emission from the Triangulum Galaxy'. She was awarded the postdoc fellowship at the Max-Planck-Institute für Radioastronomy in Bonn (2008-2011). She worked on the data taken with the Herschel Space Observatory and led several radio observations of nearby galaxies. She had recieved the German Research Foundation grant to work as independent researcher at the Max-Planck-Institut für Astronomie in Heidelberg before her new post at the IAC in Spain.
