In this amazing apologetic letter, the apostle Paul makes a defense and explains to the Galatians church who were allowing themselves to soon move away from the earlier teachings they had received, the truth of the Good News. The Good News is simple, Christ Jesus died for us and it is by accepting and living through him that we have right standing with God, not by trying to obey the letters and dictates of the laws. My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die. Galatians 2:20-21 NLT. The law can never give you what the Son has given. Actually, it was the failure of the law to deliver that necessitated grace.
