Bible Commentary on Galatians 2 The focus of the letter to the Galatians can be broken into 4 parts. 1 Paul defends his authority as apostle. 2 Unity of the Jewish and Gentile Church-One body of Christ-Christ is the head not Paul or Peter 3 Do not give an opportunity for false teachers to say salvation is the Gospel plus anything (The law, Jewish customs, Ten commandments). 4 Defending salvation by Grace through faith alone. Salvation is by faith in Jesus alone. Galatians 2:21 I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”
