Galatians 3_23-26, A Temporary Bondage - Audio

from Trinity Reformed Church · host Zach Kruis

We can easily fall from a proper understanding of the law of God into legalism or antinomianism. The key is to focus on Christ rather than putting an excessive focus on freedom or obedience. Both will increase in harmony if our eyes are trained on Christ. The Galatians were slipping into legalism. Paul teaches that the law was temporary bondage. It was a prison and a guardian. It was never intended to bring life and righteousness. Its purpose was always to point people to Christ.
