Galatians 4-1-11 The Pull of the Elements of the World

Just as the children of Israel were freed from the Egyptians and had to come under the laws of Moses, so too does the Christian come under the laws of Christ after being free from the slavery of sin. Freedom requires responsibility. The Hebrews only knew the life of slavery, when they didn't want to be responsible before their God they desired to go back to Egypt and lie under what they knew. Christians too have this pull on their lives. There is a desire to go back to the elemental things of the world, live under slavery once again. Paul addresses this in the first section of Chapter 4 of Galatians.
