Pastor Lowell teaches on Galatians 6:3-5 "Escaping the Trap of Comparison and Conceit" on 5/18/2025 for our Sunday service.Galatians 6:3-53 For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.4 But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. 5 For each one shall bear his own load.Paul continues to expound on the teachings and principles declared on the first two verses of Galatians 6. If you are seeking to restore your brother and help bear others burdens, you need to put aside attitudes of self importance, and spiritual superiority along with an attitude that breeds intolerance towards others mistakes, errors and failures. “Escaping the trap of comparison and deceit.” It’s the old adage: Don’t think you are all that and more. You might seem like a big fish in your little tide pool, but there are always bigger fish in the sea.
